Wonderfully simple. I’d add Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

Did I leave the Episcopalians out? Oh man, that's a huge oversight on my part. I live in New Hampshire and fondly remember Bishop Gene Robinson. I also listen to the Morning Prayer and Reflection at Washington National Cathedral while drinking my coffee. Wow -- I'll go in and make that edit asap.

The Disciples of Christ—First Christian Church is also a fully welcoming and affirming denomination. My home church in Santa Fe, NM has a Lesbian minister who is Harvard educated.

Hi Carol -- Nice -- I might know your minister, as we're both HDS alumni. I'm loving what I'm seeing on the website -- https://disciples.org. Could you steer me toward the open and affirming pages? I'm all about spreading the good word on friendly denominations!

This article is a great resource for people looking an LGBTQAI+ safe space or wanting to participate in a congregation that supports full inclusion. I hope to see the list grow.

Thanks Bo -- I have been feeling a real upsurge in progressive religious spaces lately, with a rise in LGBTQ+ acceptance. I don't want to speak too soon, but lately...there's something in the air. I suspect this list will grow, and quickly.

As a 54 yo lgbtqia survivor of this world I would recommend NOT GETTING INTO RELIGION. Especially if you reside in the USA. There is no home for us within established religion. Find a hobby group or reading club and keep your spiritual life private. Religions are cult spaces. Avoid them.
