Agreed agreed agreed... but have to say, your church sounds pretty amazing! I'm looking for one myself after decades of running. Sounds like a real place of what it's supposed to be...

That said, I understand. Oh, I so understand...

Strongly agree. The so-called Christian Nationalists are way off the teachings of Jesus, and closer to the Jewish Zealots.

Jesus refused to be drawn into politics, rejected violence, condemned religious intolerance and said his kingdom was 'not of this world.'

Your church sounds like it's on the right path, as is mine. Stay with it.

The Christiam nationalist (CN) and Liberalism are poisoning the well in another way. I'm an atheist, but I do miss the sense of community and being involved with charitable work as you described. However, the CNs seem to hate progressive Christians more than atheists like me. So, unless I know someone personally, how do I know if I am welcome to join a church activity? Fortunately, I'm in a city so I simply redirect my energy to a local non-profit community group. Yet, it does mean the number of progressive Christians are in decline, leaving more and more of the fundamentalist representing Christianity. A vicious circle.
